
Eagan is a large suburb of 64,000 people, located along the eastern banks of the Minnesota River and just south of the Twin Cities. At the northern border of Eagan’s municipal lines is I-494 and cutting through the middle of the municipality is 35E. Only 20 minutes from either of the Twin Cities, Eagan is a great location to live and work. As one of Minnesota’s largest business and job centers, major companies such as West (Thomas Reuters), Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Ecolab employ significant parts of the population. With bus stops running through Eagan, work commutes to nearby cities are a piece of cake. Eagan was also recently recognized for having implement energy use reductions and best practices in an attempt to make the city more sustainable and eco-friendly.
Eagan has a total of 55 parks with approximately 1,350 acres of land. These parks include baseball diamonds, soccer fields, skating rinks, picnic areas and more. There is also 2 Civic Arenas in Eagan with ice surfaces. For more recreation the Cascade Bay Waterpark is nearby as well as the Mall of America. More and more recreational opportunities are becoming possible in the Eagan area making it an exciting and entertaining place to raise a family.
