Richfield is located south of Minneapolis within Hennepin County. A large and diverse suburban city, Richfield has a population of 35,000 people and a thriving commercial and business economy. The arterial highways include Interstate 35W, and State Highways 5, 63, 77, and 121, making it easy to travel to the Twin Cities or surrounding suburbs. Richfield is home to the Best Buy headquarters, which is the city’s largest employer, and plans to continue to expand its economic foundations. Public transportation is available throughout the City of Richfield making it a great city to live in while commuting to work.
Richfield has many great recreational opportunities within the city and nearby. Several parks can be found throughout Richfield including the Wood Lake nature Center for those who like hiking and outdoor recreational programs. Within a few minutes’ drive is the world renown Mall of America, great for shopping and the indoor theme park, as well as the Minneapolis – St. Paul International Airport. Richfield hosts farmers markets and community gatherings as well. Just a little north is the Uptown area of Minneapolis with many different eating and shopping opportunities.
