STRONG HOME SALES INDICATE OUR GREAT MARKET WILL CONTINUE

Normally in mid to late August we see a dip in sales as consumers with children are more focused on their children returning to school, sports and other activities. By mid-September the slump is usually over and the Fall can actually be our 2nd best time of the year for home sales. I predict that this year we will breeze right by the August dip for several reasons. First of all, home sales are remaining very strong as the article on my web site, mnhomesbydave.com states. Go to the Real Estate News tab and read this great article. Secondly, the number of buyers seeking a new home remains high as the stats from the major buyer search sites show.  I believe that the comments made this month by Janet Yellen, Chairwoman of the Federal Reserve Board, that the Fed would move to raise rates somewhat by the end of the year, have kept buyers actively in pursuit of a home. Now I have been wrong before (not often) and I might be wrong this time, but I think it is an excellent time to list your home for sale as inventories are very low and prices are continuing to rise.
