What Might a President Trump do to Real Estate?

While it seems like the total populace of our country has been totally polarized by the recent election, those of us who practice in the profession must take a more objective view of how this change in leadership is going to affect the market and our profession. Obviously, no matter who was elected, it will have an effect. The question is, of course, what kind of effect, particularly now that the Republicans will also control Congress. With nearly 70% of adult Americans owning their principal residence and most of the rest renting, it does affect almost everyone in the country. For most Americans their principal residence, if owned, represents their largest single asset. This makes any potential change in policies quite critical.  I have posted an article on my website by Thomas Mitchell, a staff writer for Inman News, a highly respect news source for real estate professionals, which I believe does an outstanding and balanced job of analyzing what might be ahead of us. You can find it at Mnhomesbydave.com under the Real Estate News tab. I urge everyone interested in real estate to read it. Thanks for reading.
